Pre formed reinforcing materials are embedded within the epoxy encapsulation layers of the high and low voltage coils, creating a dense structure similar to reinforced concrete. This gives the transformer mechanical strength beyond that of pure epoxy resin, allowing it to withstand sudden short‑circuit electrodynamic forces without damage.
